After hours on the road, the only thing you want to do is pull over at a rest stop and do exactly that — rest! You want a nice meal, a full night of sleep, and a great cup of coffee in the morning before you hit the road. Luckily, the following rest stops are considered to be the best in our great country, so you’ll have no shortage of great food, coffee, drinks, rest and even scenic views if you stop there!

If you’re looking for a rest area with a jaw-dropping view and a scenic place to shut your eyes, look no further than Bear Lake Rest Area and Overlook located right off of Route 89 in Bear Lake, Utah. This rest stop is so beautiful that Travel Channel even named it the best rest stop view in America!

When you want to get out and stretch your legs, this gorgeous rest stop even features a quick hiking trail you can venture down.

When you’re traveling on I-95 through South Carolina, be sure to pull over at South of the Border. This rest stop is so aptly named due to its location between North and South Carolina. In addition to your typical gas station, restaurant and space to sleep, South of the Border also boasts a little amusement park, shopping attractions and a place to purchase fireworks if you so desire.

Iowa 80

This renowned truck stop is known by truck drivers all across the country. This truck stop boasts over 51 years of service to professional truck drivers traveling coast to coast or on quick trips. With a 300-seat restaurant, gift store, movie theatre, laundry facilities, workout area, and so much more, this is a truck stop you cannot pass up. It even has a trucking museum you can visit!
